Robert Muggah is a political economist and adviser focused on security and development in urban spaces. He is the co-founder of Igarapé Institute, a think and do tank devoted to using new technologies to tackle global challenges. He also co-founded SecDev Group, a digital risk firm, and oversees projects in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
