Ross McKinney Jr., MD, is the chief scientific officer of AAMC, which represents 171 accredited medical schools in the U.S. and Canada, over 400 major teaching hospitals and health systems, and over 80 faculty and academic societies. He previously spent more than 30 years as a faculty member at Duke University, including as director of the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases and vice dean for research at Duke University School of Medicine.
