Joel is a scientific assistant and doctoral student at the Chair of Management Information Systems, ETH Zurich. During his doctorate, he will conduct research on policy evaluation and data-​driven decision-​making in marketing and healthcare. To this end, he uses large-​scale observational data and develops causal inference, statistical and machine learning methods to inform and improve managerial practice in these fields.
