Glenn Maguire is presently an independent economist. He was formerly the South and Southeast Asia chief economist at the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ). Prior to joining ANZ, he was the Asia Chief Economist with Hong Kong-based Societe Generale. He started his economic career in the Fiscal Policy Division of the Australian Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
