Khalid Umar is the head of Strategic Planning Division at CAREC Institute. Umar is also coordinator of the CAREC Think Tanks Network. His interests include economic policy, regional economic cooperation, and strategic alliances and partnerships. Prior to his current post, he worked as Deputy Secretary (Economic Affairs) at the Pakistan Prime Minister’s Office and the Pakistan Ministry of Finance.
