Dr. Joost Buurman is a senior research fellow, Institute of Water Policy at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore. The main focus of his work is on flood and drought risk management from an economic perspective, and on urban water policies. He has lived and worked as an academic and consultant in Southeast Asia for the past fifteen years.
